The Team

Yanqun Zhong

Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine

Dr. Zhong brings decades of experience to her role as principal clinician and as a guest lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania. A 1986 graduate of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, she began her career practicing internal medicine with a specialty in internal medicine then hepatology at a hospital in China. There, she developed a distinctive approach to patient care by integrating her deep understanding of western medicine with traditional Chinese medicine practices. Her work as a internist and liver specialist gave her profound insight into the body's interconnected systems, the impact of inflammation, and the critical role of internal balance—foundational knowledge that continues to inform her holistic practice today.

This medical background also uniquely distinguishes her current specialization in anti-aging and natural beauty enhancement. Dr. Zhong has cultivated a loyal following for her ability to reveal radiant, youthful vitality by treating the root causes of imbalance rather than merely addressing surface concerns. Drawing upon decades of clinical experience, she artfully applies integrative principles to support hormonal health, reduce stress, and promote graceful aging—all while honoring the body's innate capacity to heal. Her hepatology expertise, in particular, informs her understanding of how internal health manifests externally, guiding her protocols for achieving authentic, lasting results.

Deeply passionate about natural beauty, Dr. Zhong carefully incorporates cosmetic acupuncture, natural products and botanical medicine into her treatments, guiding patients toward sustainable, non-toxic approaches. For her, true youth emerges when internal wellness is cultivated alongside external care—a philosophy rooted in her years as an integrative medicine physician treating the whole person, not just symptoms. This comprehensive perspective, refined over a long and rewarding career, allows her to help patients look and feel their best at any age.
